FRP Bridge Deck New Construction Pedestrian Bridge Eiserner Steg
The new construction with FRP Bridge Decking of the 'Eiserner Steg' pedestrian bridge with a length of 100 metres was very important to the local residents. Previously, pedestrians coming from the central bus and train station had to cross the Lahn via the adjacent railroad bridge. This meant that pedestrians, more specifically, parents with strollers and young schoolchildren, were forced to cross about a metre from the tracks. When the track was closed due to maintenance work, a safe crossing became pretty much impossible.

FRP Bridge Decking Planks on an incline thanks to assembly method
It was important for the new construction of the pedestrian bridge that water could easily run off the FRP Bridge Deck. The specialists of krafton® recommended that the client plot the FRP Bridge Decking Planks at a small incline. Thanks to the innovative assembly methods of the FRP Bridge Decking Planks, we were able to keep the resulting space between the middle structure to a minimum. The bridge is not only a very welcome and safe connection for pedestrians, but also a wonderful contribution to the environment of Stad Weilburg.
