krafton® Carbon Strips
Carbon strips from krafton® are designed to stiffen and reinforce structures.
krafton® Carbon Strips are composed of a large number of continuous fibres, aligned in the direction of the load, each approximately 7μm in diameter.

krafton® carbon strips are manufactured using the pultrusion process with a vinylester resin and are finished with a tear-away fabric. The unique manufacturing process ensures full impregnation of the carbon fibres and an extremely high curing rate. Once removed, the tear-off fabric provides good adhesion properties to other prepared surfaces, such as steel, concrete, wood or other GRP strips, profiles or planks.
The strips may feel a little pliable when handled, but once installed, they can bear huge loads. A 200 × 4.9 mm slat can carry 20 elephants, 15 family cars and 2 Airbus A320 planes all at once! To get the most out of this beautiful material, the right preparations must be made and the right tools used during processing and assembly.
